I have a faulty product covered by the manufacturer's guarantee. Who do I contact?

The majority of products are covered by the manufacturer's warranty. You will need to contact the manufacturer directly to arrange an inspection/repair and, in some cases, exchange. Please see the table below for advice on who to contact.

I cannot find the name of the manufacturer of the product in the list above. Why is this?
Unfortunately some of the products do not benefit from a third party manufacturer's guarantee. In some cases, Comet provided the guarantee itself.
What options are available to me?
This will depend on the brand and the date you purchased the item.

TV & AUDIO REPAIRS

My product is:
Digihome or Hitachi and was purchased before 2 November 2012, prior to Administration.
Prior to 1 June 2012, Comet ordered its product from manufacturers outside of the UK. These manufacturers do not provide repair services for customers.
Ferguson, Goodmans, Orion, Proline or Venturer and was purchased before 2 November 2012, prior to Administration.
All products manufactured under these brand names were ordered from manufacturers outside of the UK. These manufacturers do not provide repair services for customers.

Unfortunately for these items, the cost of repairing your product (using an alternative supplier) or a replacement product will rank as an unsecured claim against the Company.

JVC are currently investigating what support they can offer on these TVs.

Frigidaire and Fridgemaster products are manufactured by Frigidaire Consolidated Limited and Fridgemaster Corporation Limited respectively. Administrators were appointed over these entities in September 2012. The Administrators have notified the Administrators of Comet Group Limited that they are not in a position to honour the manufacturer's warranty.

The Administrators have reached an agreement with a third party to repair products that were purchased during the Administration. You should have been contacted by the third party repairer and given details of who to contact. To report a fault with your appliance please call 0844 854 0943 (opening hours 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday).
